Foreign technology can sometimes be just that.. foreign, and Fuji Rabbits have not been produced for over 30 years so some of the tools, books and specialized technicians have all mostly disappeared. In this section I hope to create a forum where owners and afficionados can share technical stories, tips and Do's and Dont's about all Fuji Scooter models.
The concept of combustion engine is the same as any other machine, but the Rabbits do have their subtleties. The electric starters dynamos on the 601 models are quite different from any other starter motor you may have seen on a car for example. These scooters use a different kind of crankcase oil, who would have tought you needed to put ATF transmission fluid in your crankcase. And not too many scooters have a fuel tank in the legshield just below the handle bars. If you've been riding Vespas all your life, Fuji's are a whole new adventure. If you're familiar with Lambrettas, well Fuji's a still just a little bit more complex in their engineering. Remember this is company that was once the largest aircraft manufacturer in Japan. They put a lot of thinking in their product and quite a bit of sophistication. Every chance we get we'll publish important technical information for Fuji Rabbit Scooters here, but if you have a technical question we invite you to post in it our Bulletin Board |
